The Story Behind Breadfruit Chips
Breadfruit has been a staple crop in Vanuatu for millennia, brought by the original Austronesian settlers. Frying into chips is a modern adaptation that has become enormously popular.
The chips are crunchier and more flavorful than potato chips, with a subtle sweetness unique to breadfruit.
This snack represents the modern evolution of ancient Pacific foodways.
