Ingredients

  • potatoes (4 large)
  • green peas
  • green chilies
  • ginger
  • cumin powder
  • garam masala
  • amchur (dry mango powder)
  • cornflour
  • bread crumbs
  • oil for frying
  • salt
  • fresh coriander

Instructions

  1. 1 Boil potatoes, peel and mash. Mix with peas, chilies, ginger, and all spices.
  2. 2 Add cornflour and shape into round flat patties.
  3. 3 Optional: coat in bread crumbs for extra crunch.
  4. 4 Shallow fry on a tawa or deep fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  5. 5 Serve topped with chole, yogurt, green chutney, tamarind chutney, and sev.
