Did You Know?
Bofrot vendors have a signature call — you can hear them shouting "bofrot! bofrot!" from streets away, and the smell draws customers before the sound does.
The Story Behind Bofrot
Bofrot, also known as puff puff, is a pan-West African fried dough that has been made for generations. In Ghana, it is a celebratory food, a breakfast treat, and a beloved street snack. No festival or outdoor event is complete without a bofrot seller.
