Instructions

    Toss Saskatoon berries with sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and almond extract.

    Line pie dish with bottom crust. Pour in berry filling.

    Dot the top of the filling with small pieces of butter.

    Cover with top crust, crimp edges, and cut steam vents. Brush with egg wash.

    Bake at 220C (425F) for 15 min, then reduce to 180C (350F) for 35-40 min until golden and bubbly.
