Yam roasted over coals until charred outside and fluffy inside. A dense, satisfying staple.

Ingredients

  • 1 large yam (800g)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Coconut cream
  • Lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • Green onion

Instructions

  1. 1 Wash yam and poke with fork.
  2. 2 Rub with coconut oil.
  3. 3 Place on hot coals.
  4. 4 Roast 45 minutes, turning occasionally.
  5. 5 Peel and slice.
  6. 6 Serve with butter, coconut cream, salt.
