Sweet bread made with coconut cream and baked until golden. A Tongan bakery favorite.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup coconut cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 cup grated coconut

Instructions

  1. 1 Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, salt.
  2. 2 Add coconut cream, butter, vanilla.
  3. 3 Knead into soft dough.
  4. 4 Fold in grated coconut.
  5. 5 Shape into a round loaf.
  6. 6 Bake at 180C for 30 minutes until golden.
