Crispy Fried Taro Slices

Thick taro slices fried until golden with a crispy crust. A hearty snack.

Ingredients

  • 500g taro, peeled and sliced
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp chili
  • Paper towels
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric

Instructions

  1. 1 Peel and slice taro 1cm thick.
  2. 2 Heat oil to 175C.
  3. 3 Fry slices until golden, about 5 minutes.
  4. 4 Drain on paper towels.
  5. 5 Season with salt, garlic, chili.
  6. 6 Serve with lime.
