The Story Behind Cafe Timor
Coffee was introduced to Timor by the Portuguese in the early 1800s and rapidly became the island's most important cash crop. Timorese coffee is renowned for its smooth, low-acidity profile, a result of the high-altitude volcanic soil and traditional processing methods. The simple cloth-filter brewing method used across the country produces a clean, strong cup that showcases the beans' natural chocolate and citrus notes.
