Ingredients

  • 2 cups dried dagaa sardines
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 chili pepper, sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Lime juice

Instructions

  1. 1 Rinse dried dagaa briefly and pat dry to remove excess salt.
  2. 2 Heat oil in a skillet, add onions and cook until softened.
  3. 3 Add tomatoes and chili, cook for three minutes until saucy.
  4. 4 Add dagaa and toss to combine, frying for five minutes until crispy.
  5. 5 Season with salt and a squeeze of lime juice.
  6. 6 Serve hot as a side dish with ugali and greens.
