A festive flatbread from the Bela Krajina region, enriched with eggs, cottage cheese, and seeds, baked to a golden, slightly sweet crust.

Mix flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Add eggs, warm milk, and softened butter. Knead into a smooth dough, about 10 min.

Knead in cottage cheese until evenly distributed. Cover and let rise 45 min.

Punch down dough, shape into a large round flatbread about 3cm thick on a lined baking sheet.

Score the top in a traditional diamond pattern using a sharp knife.

Brush with egg yolk, sprinkle with pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, and coarse salt.

Bake at 190°C (375°F) for 30-35 min until deeply golden. Cool slightly before breaking into pieces.
