A thick, creamy Slovak potato soup with vegetables, marjoram, and garlic, finished with a splash of cream. Everyday comfort in a bowl.

Ingredients

  • 600g potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1L vegetable broth
  • 100ml cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. 1 Sauté onion in butter until translucent.
  2. 2 Add potatoes, carrots, garlic, marjoram, and broth.
  3. 3 Simmer 20 minutes until potatoes are very tender.
  4. 4 Partially mash some potatoes for thickness while leaving chunks.
  5. 5 Stir in cream, season with salt and pepper.
  6. 6 Serve with fresh parsley and crusty bread.
