Instructions

Rice potatoes while warm. Mix with flour, egg, and salt into a smooth dough.

Roll dough into long ropes about 2cm thick. Cut into 3cm pieces.

Boil in salted water until they float, about 3-4 minutes.

Drain well.

Mix ground poppy seeds with powdered sugar.

Toss noodles in melted butter, then roll in the poppy seed-sugar mixture. Serve warm.

The Story Behind Šúľance
Šúľance represent the sweet dumpling tradition of Central Europe. In Slovakia, poppy seeds were historically grown in home gardens and ground at home on special hand-cranked mills.
