A tropical cocktail combining dark rum, fresh lime juice, grenadine, and nutmeg. The island's celebratory drink, mixed by the jug at every fete.

Ingredients

  • 240ml dark rum
  • 120ml fresh lime juice
  • 180ml simple syrup
  • 360ml guava or passion fruit juice
  • Dash of Angostura bitters
  • Grated nutmeg
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. 1 Combine rum, lime juice, simple syrup, and fruit juice in a pitcher.
  2. 2 Add a dash of Angostura bitters.
  3. 3 Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  4. 4 Fill glasses with ice and pour punch over.
  5. 5 Grate fresh nutmeg on top of each glass.
  6. 6 Serve immediately.
