Ingredients

  • 4 ripe plantains
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. 1 Peel ripe plantains and slice diagonally into pieces about one centimeter thick.
  2. 2 Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan to medium-high heat, about one centimeter deep.
  3. 3 Fry plantain slices in batches for two minutes per side until golden brown and caramelized at the edges.
  4. 4 Remove with a slotted spoon, drain on paper towels, and sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Serve warm.
