Cornbread with Cheese

A dense, golden cornbread studded with crumbled white cheese and baked until crusty outside and tender within.

Ingredients

  • 300g fine cornmeal
  • 200ml yogurt
  • 2 eggs
  • 100g sirene cheese, crumbled
  • 50ml oil
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. 1 Mix cornmeal, eggs, yogurt, oil, baking soda, and salt.
  2. 2 Fold in crumbled cheese.
  3. 3 Pour into a greased baking pan.
  4. 4 Bake at 180°C for 30-35 min until golden and firm.
  5. 5 Cool slightly before cutting into squares.
