Rinse rice until water runs clear.

Combine rice, coconut milk, water, salt, and sugar.

Add pandan leaf and bring to boil.

Reduce heat to lowest setting and cover.

Cook 18 minutes without lifting lid.

Remove pandan leaf, stir in butter, fluff with fork.
