Ingredients

  • 500g cassava, peeled and grated
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Banana leaves for wrapping
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup grated coconut

Instructions

  1. 1 Mix grated cassava with coconut milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla.
  2. 2 Stir in melted butter and grated coconut.
  3. 3 Line a steaming pan with banana leaves.
  4. 4 Pour mixture into prepared pan.
  5. 5 Steam for 45 minutes until firm.
  6. 6 Cool, slice, and serve at room temperature.
