The Story Behind Coconut Toddy Drink
Coconut toddy tapping is an ancient Micronesian practice passed down through generations. Skilled tappers climb tall coconut palms to collect the sweet sap that flows from cut flower clusters.
Fresh toddy is naturally sweet and full of probiotics. If left to ferment, it becomes an alcoholic beverage called tuba.
This tradition represents the deep relationship between Pacific islanders and the coconut palm.
