Ingredients

  • 1 large mature breadfruit
  • Coconut oil for serving
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 Select a mature breadfruit that gives slightly when pressed.
  2. 2 Place whole breadfruit directly over hot coals or an open flame.
  3. 3 Rotate every 10-15 minutes until the entire surface is evenly charred and the fruit feels soft when pressed.
  4. 4 Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
  5. 5 Cut in half, remove the core, and slice into wedges.
  6. 6 Serve warm with coconut oil and a sprinkle of salt.
