Ingredients

  • 500g fresh sashimi-grade reef fish (parrotfish or snapper)
  • 4 limes, juiced
  • 100ml coconut cream
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 fresh chili, minced
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. 1 Cut fish into 2cm cubes, ensuring all bones are removed.
  2. 2 Toss fish cubes with lime juice and let sit for 5 minutes to lightly cure the surface.
  3. 3 Add coconut cream, sliced onion, chili, and diced cucumber.
  4. 4 Gently fold together and season with salt.
  5. 5 Refrigerate for 10 minutes to let flavors meld.
  6. 6 Serve chilled, garnished with fresh cilantro.
