A naturally fermented sweet-sour drink made from maize flour and malt, served cold as a refreshing beverage.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups maize flour
  • 1/2 cup millet malt flour
  • 8 cups water
  • Sugar to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 Cook maize flour with water into thin porridge.
  2. 2 Cool to lukewarm.
  3. 3 Stir in millet malt flour.
  4. 4 Cover and ferment 24-48 hours at room temperature.
  5. 5 Stir, sweeten if desired, serve cold.
