A rich, creamy stew made from pounded groundnuts simmered with tomatoes and leafy greens, served over nsima.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw groundnuts, pounded
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 bunch mustard greens
  • 1 onion, diced
  • Salt
  • Water

Instructions

  1. 1 Pound groundnuts into a fine paste.
  2. 2 Sauté onions until soft, add tomatoes.
  3. 3 Stir in groundnut paste and water, simmer 20 minutes.
  4. 4 Add greens and cook until wilted.
  5. 5 Serve over nsima.
