Instructions

    Mix flour, eggs, melted butter, sugar, brandy, lemon zest, and salt into a smooth dough. Knead briefly.

    Rest the dough covered for 30 minutes at room temperature.

    Roll out very thin on a floured surface. Cut into rectangles about 10cm x 5cm.

    Cut a slit in the center of each rectangle. Pull one end through the slit to create a twist.

    Deep-fry at 175°C (345°F) for 1-2 minutes per side until golden and crispy.

    Drain on paper towels and dust generously with powdered sugar while still warm.
