500g fresh curd cheese (varske)

3 tbsp sugar

150g all-purpose flour

50g butter, melted

Mash curd cheese until smooth. Mix in egg, sugar, flour, and salt to form a soft, slightly sticky dough.

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a gentle boil.

Shape dough into small round dumplings using floured hands, about 3cm each.

Drop dumplings into boiling water in batches. Cook until they float, about 3-4 min.

Remove with a slotted spoon. Drizzle with melted butter, top with sour cream and sugar.
