Instructions

    Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 5 min.

    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla.

    Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Fold into batter alternating with milk.

    Pour into a buttered and floured 9-inch baking pan.

    Bake at 180C (350F) for 40-45 min until golden and a skewer comes out clean.
