Instructions

    Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm milk. Mix flour, salt, softened butter, and egg. Add milk mixture, knead 10 min into smooth dough. Rise 1 hour.

    Sauté onions in butter until deep golden, about 15 min. Mix with diced smoked chicken. Season and cool.

    Roll dough into circles about 8cm across. Place a spoonful of filling on each.

    Fold dough over filling and shape into crescents, pinching edges to seal tightly.

    Place on lined baking sheets, cover and rise 20 min. Brush with egg yolk.

    Bake at 200°C (390°F) for 15-18 min until deep golden brown.
