Small fried dough pieces coated in hot honey syrup and pressed into a mound. A festive sweet treat served at celebrations and with tea.

Ingredients

  • 300g flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • Pinch of salt
  • 200g honey
  • 50g sugar
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. 1 Mix flour, eggs, butter, and salt into firm dough.
  2. 2 Roll thin and cut into small sticks or balls.
  3. 3 Deep fry in batches until golden.
  4. 4 Heat honey and sugar until syrupy.
  5. 5 Toss fried dough in hot honey syrup.
  6. 6 Press into a mound shape on a plate.
  7. 7 Let cool and set before serving.
