The Story Behind Ji Korosol
Ji korosol is one of Haiti's most refreshing beverages, made from the soursop fruit that thrives in the island's tropical climate. Soursop, known as korosol in Haitian Creole, has been consumed in the Caribbean for centuries, valued for both its distinctive creamy-tart flavor and its perceived health benefits. The juice became a staple of Haitian home life, prepared fresh by families as a daily refreshment. In a country where commercial beverages can be expensive, homemade fruit juices like ji korosol represent both tradition and practicality.
