Jus de Gingembre

Ginger Juice

A zingy, refreshing drink made from freshly grated ginger, sweetened with sugar and brightened with lime, served ice-cold.

Ingredients

  • 200g fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Juice of 3 limes
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 pineapple, chopped (optional)
  • Ice for serving

Instructions

  1. 1 Blend ginger with 2 cups water until very smooth.
  2. 2 Strain through a fine sieve or cheesecloth, squeezing out all liquid.
  3. 3 Add remaining water, sugar, and lime juice. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  4. 4 Add blended pineapple juice if using for extra flavour.
  5. 5 Chill thoroughly and serve over ice.
