Ingredients

  • 500g white fish fillets (perch or pike-perch), cubed
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 500ml fish stock or water
  • 500ml whole milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 whole allspice berries
  • Fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and white pepper

Instructions

  1. 1 Melt butter in a pot. Add onion and cook 3 min until softened.
  2. 2 Add potatoes, carrots, allspice, and fish stock. Simmer 15 min until vegetables are tender.
  3. 3 Add milk and bring to a gentle simmer. Do not boil.
  4. 4 Add fish cubes and cook 5-7 min until fish is opaque and flakes easily.
  5. 5 Season with salt and white pepper. Serve with generous fresh dill on top.
