Smoked Fish with Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4 whole smoked trout or smoked Baltic herring
  • 800g small waxy potatoes
  • 50g butter
  • 200ml sour cream
  • Fresh dill, generous bunch
  • Salt
  • Lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. 1 Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 20 min. Drain.
  2. 2 Toss hot potatoes with butter and a pinch of salt.
  3. 3 Arrange smoked fish on a large platter alongside the buttered potatoes.
  4. 4 Serve with sour cream in a bowl, generous amounts of fresh dill, and lemon wedges.
  5. 5 Each person takes fish and potatoes, topping with sour cream and dill to taste.
