Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup yogurt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp ground cardamom
Pinch of saffron in 1 tbsp rose water
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Pinch of salt
Oil for deep frying
Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
1Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cardamom, and salt in a bowl.
2Add eggs, yogurt, saffron-rose water mixture, and oil. Mix to a thick batter.
3Let batter rest 15 minutes.
4Heat oil to 160°C. Drop spoonfuls of batter into oil.
5Fry slowly until deep golden and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally.
6Drain on paper towels and dust generously with powdered sugar while still warm.
