Mojito

Cuban Rum, Lime, and Mint Cocktail

Prep Time 5 min
Servings 1
Difficulty Easy

Cuba's iconic cocktail of white rum, fresh lime juice, sugar, soda water, and muddled mint — bright, refreshing, and dangerously easy to drink.

Ingredients

  • 60ml white rum
  • 30ml fresh lime juice
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 8-10 fresh mint leaves
  • Soda water
  • Crushed ice
  • Lime wheel and mint sprig for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1 Place mint leaves and sugar in a tall glass. Gently muddle to release mint oils — do not shred the leaves.
  2. 2 Add lime juice and stir to dissolve sugar.
  3. 3 Fill the glass with crushed ice.
  4. 4 Pour rum over the ice. Top with soda water.
  5. 5 Stir gently. Garnish with a lime wheel and mint sprig.
  6. 6 Serve immediately.
