Instructions

Soak mote overnight. Boil in fresh water for 40-50 min until tender but chewy. Drain and cool.

In a separate pot, dissolve sugar in water with cinnamon sticks and orange peel. Bring to a boil.

Add dried peaches to the syrup. Simmer 20 min until peaches are plump and tender.

Remove from heat and let cool completely. Refrigerate until very cold.

To serve, place a spoonful of cooked mote in a tall glass, add a peach, and fill with cold syrup.

Serve with a long spoon for eating the mote and peach.
