Smoky, flame-grilled beef skewers coated in a fiery blend of ground spices, onion powder, and chili, sold by roadside vendors across Cameroon.
Ingredients

1kg beef, cut into small cubes

2 tbsp groundnut oil

1 tbsp ground suya spice (yaji)

1 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp ground ginger

1 bouillon cube, crushed

Salt to taste

Sliced onions and tomatoes for serving

Thread beef cubes onto wooden skewers, about 5-6 pieces per skewer.

Mix all spices together with groundnut oil to form a paste.

Coat each skewer generously with the spice paste.

Grill over hot charcoal, turning frequently, for 10-12 minutes until charred and cooked through.
