Sauce arachide au poisson (SOHS ah-rah-SHEED oh pwah-SOHN)
Groundnut Fish Sauce
Smoked fish simmered in a thick, creamy groundnut paste sauce with tomatoes and okra, a protein-rich everyday favorite across Burkina Faso.

Heat oil and sauté onion until translucent.

Add blended tomatoes and cook 10 minutes until reduced.

Dissolve groundnut paste in 1 cup warm water and add to the pot.

Add remaining water, dawadawa, habanero, and Maggi cube. Stir well.

Add smoked fish pieces and simmer 15 minutes.

Add sliced okra and cook 10 more minutes until sauce is thick. Serve over rice or tô.
