Deep-fried bread dough balls with a crispy golden exterior and soft, fluffy interior, stuffed with savoury mince or spread with butter and jam.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup warm water
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. 1 Mix flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Add warm water and knead into soft dough.
  2. 2 Cover and let rise 45 minutes until doubled.
  3. 3 Heat oil to 170°C. Shape dough into balls.
  4. 4 Fry 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. 5 Drain on paper towels. Stuff or serve plain.
