  • 4 cups water
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. 1 Bring water and salt to a boil in a pot.
  2. 2 Slowly pour in maize meal while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  3. 3 Reduce heat to low. Stir vigorously until thick and pulling away from sides, about 10 minutes.
  4. 4 Cover and steam on very low heat for 5 minutes.
