Crunchy puffed rice tossed with sautéed seasonal vegetables, chilies, and butter — a quick, satisfying dish that bridges snack and meal.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups puffed rice (zow)
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, beans), diced
  • 2 green chilies, sliced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. 1 Heat oil in a wok. Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
  2. 2 Add diced vegetables and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.
  3. 3 Add green chilies and turmeric, toss for 1 minute.
  4. 4 Remove from heat and fold in puffed rice, tossing gently to combine.
  5. 5 Season with salt and garnish with cilantro.
  6. 6 Serve immediately while puffed rice is still crunchy.
