Ingredients

  • 2 cups spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup Swiss chard, chopped
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Sichuan pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 Melt butter in a saucepan. Sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  2. 2 Add spinach and Swiss chard, cook until wilted, about 3 minutes.
  3. 3 Pour in milk and bring to a gentle simmer (do not boil).
  4. 4 Add Sichuan pepper and salt. Simmer gently for 10 minutes.
