Crispy golden fritters made from tender conch meat mixed with bell peppers, onions, and spices, deep-fried to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb conch meat finely chopped
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 bell pepper diced
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 scotch bonnet pepper minced
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 Mix flour, baking powder, egg, and milk into a thick batter.
  2. 2 Fold in chopped conch, bell pepper, onion, garlic, and scotch bonnet.
  3. 3 Drop spoonfuls into hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side.
  4. 4 Drain on paper towels and serve with tartar or cocktail sauce.
