A rich, creamy gravy made with sliced beef sausage and onions, simmered in a flour-thickened broth and served over thick pancakes.

Ingredients

  • 400g beef sausages, sliced
  • 2 onions, sliced into rings
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 400ml beef broth
  • 150ml sour cream
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh dill for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1 Slice sausages into rounds and brown in butter.
  2. 2 Add onion rings and cook until softened.
  3. 3 Sprinkle flour over and stir for one minute.
  4. 4 Gradually add beef broth, stirring to prevent lumps.
  5. 5 Simmer for 15 minutes until thickened.
  6. 6 Stir in sour cream, season, and serve over bliny.
