The Story Behind Tim Tam Slam
Tim Tams were created in 1964 by Ian Norris, director of Arnott's Biscuits, after a trip to England inspired him to create a chocolate biscuit. Named after the 1958 Kentucky Derby winner, Tim Tams became Australia's best-selling biscuit. The Tim Tam Slam technique emerged as folk tradition passed down through generations.
