Grilled Beef Skewers

Marinated cubes of beef threaded on skewers and grilled over charcoal until smoky and charred. Angola's favorite street food, served with gindungo hot sauce.

Ingredients

  • 800g beef sirloin, cut into 3cm cubes
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp palm oil
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper
  • Wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

  1. 1 Combine garlic, palm oil, paprika, cumin, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. 2 Add beef cubes and toss to coat evenly. Marinate 30 minutes.
  3. 3 Thread marinated beef onto skewers.
  4. 4 Grill over hot charcoal 3-4 minutes per side for medium, turning frequently.
  5. 5 Serve immediately with gindungo and grilled plantain on the side.
